Age Cymru’s vision is to make Wales a great place to grow older, but sadly this isn’t the case for many of today’s older people. We actively promote the interests of people in later life to Senedd Cymru/Welsh Parliament, Welsh Government, UK Parliament, and politicians from across the political spectrum.

Evidence and consultations

Age Cymru works with the Welsh Government, Senedd Cymru and individual Members of the Senedd to make sure the issues that are important to older people in Wales are a priority.

  • Cross Party Group on Older People and Ageing

    Meeting approximately every two months, the Cross Party Group on Older People and Ageing holds events across a wide range of topics, highlighting priorities and producing recommendations for Senedd Cymru/Welsh Parliament.

  • Political briefings

    If you want to help raise the profile of issues affecting older people we can support you with detailed and expert policy briefings on upcoming debates. We can also work with you to proactively raise these issues.
