UK Older People's Day 2012

Make sure you get involved in UK Older People's Day on October 1 - that's the call from Age Cymru today.
We're encouraging the public to show their support for this initiative by organising their own UK Older People's Day2012 events and activities.
Robert Taylor, Age Cymru's Chief Executive comments:
"2012 will be the sixth year that UK Older People's Day will be celebrated and the aim of it is to help people think differently about older people and challenge stereotypes.
"UK Older People's Day is a celebration of the contribution older people make to society and the theme this year is sharing skills and experiences between different generations.
"You can join in these celebrations this year and contribute by organising your own skills-sharing event as part of the ‘Big Skills Share'.
"So please get involved, show your support and help make UK Older People's Day 2012 a big success."
