Congratulations to our award winners

Congratulations to the winners of the Age Cymru Awards.
We gave away six awards on Friday 27 February to individuals and organisations that make a difference to the lives of older people.
- Valmai Fox from Penllergaer took home the Campaigner Award, which was sponsored by NewLaw solicitors;
- Eluned Morris from Ruthin was the winner of our Active Ageing Award, which was sponsored by Western Power Distribution;
- West Wales Befriending Links, which covers Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion, won the Local Delivery Award, which was sponsored by Derwen;
- Alan Buckfield from Haverfordwest picked up the Volunteer Award, which was sponsored by Wales & West Utilities;
- Pen-Coed Care Home in Saundersfoot got the My Home Life Cymru Award, which was sponsored by JMD Law;
- Rubicon Dance from Cardiff, took the Gwanwyn Award, which was sponsored by Hugh James solicitors;
Commenting on the awards, Age Cymru's Chief Executive, Ian Thomas, says:
"Every day there are unsung heroes in communities right across Wales who are making a real difference to the lives of older people.
"Most don't get the credit they deserve, but with our awards, Age Cymru is doing our bit to make sure individuals and organisations are recognised for their outstanding contributions to improving the lives of older people.
