Volunteer in RCT and Merthyr Tydfil
Published on 04 September 2014 09:00 AM
We're looking for volunteers to help us in Rhondda Cynon Taff and Merthyr Tydfil to set up and run exercises classes for local older people.
The classes are called LIFT, - Low Impact Functional Training, and offer simple chair-based or standing exercises to music in an easy and fun way.
The exercises taught by volunteers will aid balance, mobility and co-ordination of older people.
We urgently need volunteers to help us deliver LIFT sessions in the Rhondda Cynon Taff and Merthyr Tydfil areas.
Age Cymru will provide free full training and all necessary equipment.
By attending the four day training course on 9-10, and 16-17 September (venue to be confirmed), volunteers will be fully qualified and accredited to deliver ‘LIFT' courses on behalf of Age Cymru in their local area.
